Too much time
I was told online apparently that there is no such thing as having too much time. I thought about it and I have come to a conclusion that there really is such a thing as having too much time. Consider this: You donut have to go to school anymore? You spend that 8 hrs you used to spend in school at home, rotting in front of the computer. Will that satisfy the conditions of having too much time? Anyways, having too much free time on so many days is a bad thing for me. I'm starting to feel cut out from the rest of the world. brrr... the weather just keeps getting colder and soccer just keeps getting postponed because many of my friends have lost the tussle with the pillow. They have succumbed to the temptation of the soft and fluffy pillows they have and their bed chains them like a prisoner in a cell. I cant actually enjoy my holiday due to the fact that I've been tasked to bring my sister to and fro from school. Why is it made that its an all in the morning education? I need my sleep man, you should SERIOUSLY consider switching back to the morning and afternoon sessions. Well since, I've been having nothing to do, I've been reading up on Christian literature. Im currently still reading the last part of In His Steps. Its a pretty good book and Im planning to start on an autobiography of this man named Dawson Trotman. An inspirational and edifying character he possesses. Im so bored... Bored to tears! I seriously need to do something. Lol ever since the morning post I've been strumming on my guitar. I managed to tune it back :) So proud of myself! And ive been strumming on it since 1 pm until i decided to blog this. Slim are you proud of me ?!?! Reminder: Have you all read Matt 4 today? Chew on it: It is not always given to the men of vision to perfect their dreams. As powers and pathfinders they map the country, prepare the plans . . . others must do the actual work of constructing. Have you mapped out your spiritual life but not done anything about it?
Our Christianity loves its ease and comfort too well to take up anything so rough and heavy as a cross. And yet what does following Jesus mean? What is it to walk in His steps?"I know what this will mean to you and me. It will mean the complete change of very many habits. It will mean, possibly, social loss. It will mean very probably, in many cases, loss of money. It will mean suffering. It will mean what following Jesus meant in the first century, and then it meant suffering, loss, hardship, separation from everything un-Christian. But what does following Jesus mean? The test of discipleship is the same now as then. 'What have I suffered for the sake of Christ?' Where has my suffering come in?
