Towards the Nou Camp
The title says it all. United capped a spectacular 90 mins with some professional football and a winning attitude. United's passing game was fluid and they played well in the opening minutes causing alot of problems to the hearty Italians.

Sir Alex shocked the entire planet when he left out Wayne Rooney, Ronaldo and Scholes. The bench was warmed by his superstars and they were accompanied by the skipper and the reserve keeper.

United dominated the starting 20 mins with crosses and shots and corners. Roma held on tight and they were soon awarded a penalty in the 29th minute due to some role-playing by their player. The referee pointed to the spot and the Stratford end echoed with boos but it soon turned into cheers as de Rossi missed the penalty. He Beckham-ed the ball over the bar and he hid his head in his jersey.

United went into the break seeing Rio Ferdinand limping. However this wasnt due to the resurgence of his knee injury but rather a cut in his leg which resulted in 3 stitches during the break.

United came out for the 2nd half and were dominated during the first 10 minutes but soon got back into their counter-attacking and passing game. With 25 minutes left in the game, the old geezer brought on Rooney and Scholes for some run time and this strategy caused Tevez to dent the Italian hope further by planting a diving header out of Doni's reach.

With 10 minutes left to go in the game, the manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, brought on the skipper. The United supporters screamed and cheered and welcomed the United skipper with a rapturous reception.

Every touch by the skipper was welcomed with cheers and the reception was excellent. This capped the 5th time United are meeting the same Italian side.

However after the game, I felt a little torn and am still feeling torn. The reason being United are going to face Barca and these 2 are my favourite teams. It will be a clash of interest and a clash of the titans.
