True Discipleship
Heehee.. I dunno what to do with this so I decided to type out the notes on Eld Ong's True Discipleship message.

True Discipleship
  • Follower of Christ. (Disciple)
  • To be a disciple, we must start from the lowest of lowest.
  • Only be constantly being in touch with the truth, do we really know what is a lie.
2 Milestones in Christian life.

Accepting the Lord as our Christ.
  • important to recognise our sainthood.
  • every born again Christian is a saint.
When one realises that he belong to the Lord.
  • Recognise the Lordship of Christ. (Rom 12:1)
  • We must present our bodies as living sacrifice.
It takes time to be a true disciple.

Self-denial
-we must socialise to be ambassadors of Christ.
-we must seed, water and reap.
-usually we only seed and don't follow up.
There will be no me myself and I
-A life of discipleship is a yielded life.
-Set our past away; ie the old man must die daily.
-we must make our lives accountable.
-we can only be disciples if we are born again.
--> Are we taking up the challenge of discipleship?

Cross-bearing
-suffering is part and parcel of discipleship
-(Rom 7:15) It is always pleasurable to sin but we must not.
-When we have a restless spirit, we still have hope.
-The Spirit living in us is our guarantor.

Servanthood.
-Jesus is the chief servant and we are the little servants.
-servanthood is the highest achievement we can attain.
